The Winter Holding — A Sacred Wrapping Retreat

There has been a quiet whisper moving through our community for some time now…
A longing to gather.
A longing to be held.
A longing to rest together.

And so, this offering has gently formed.

The Winter Holding is a sacred overnight experience where women come together to hold one another in ceremony, to be witnessed, supported, and lovingly contained through the ancient practice of Closing of the Bones.

This is not simply a technique.
It is a remembering.
A return to the body.
A restoration of the nervous system.
A deep exhale.

Over our time together, each woman will both receive and offer a wrapping, guided step by step from the crown of the head, through each energy centre, and down to the feet. You will be gently taught how to hold another woman with care, presence, and reverence.

Throughout our time together, Reiki energy will be shared, creating a gentle current of support through the space, helping the body soften, the mind settle, and the heart feel safe enough to rest.

As evening settles in, we will gather for our potluck dinner, sharing warmth, nourishment, and connection.
Later, we will move into a deeply restorative guided Yoga Nidra, allowing the body to drift into sleep held in a cocoon of safety, stillness, and care.

As morning arrives, we will gently rise and take a slow walk / amble through the park, connecting with the trees, breathing in the winter air, and allowing nature to help integrate the work of the night before.
This simple act of walking together becomes part of the ceremony, grounding the body back into the earth.

There will also be gentle creative moments woven through our time together, including a bracelet-making journey, quiet journaling, and space to reflect on anything that rises to the surface.

Included in your investment will be carefully chosen crystals and other magic and happiness, offered to support your body and energy throughout the retreat and beyond.

This is a deeply nurturing winter offering,

What to Bring:

For the Sleepover
~A mattress or sleeping setup
(air mattress, foam mattress, or similar — something comfortable for you to sleep on)
~Warm bedding
(duvet, blankets, pillow)
~Cosy winter clothing
~Warm socks
~Comfortable layers
~Ear plugs (if you know,.... you know)
** there are many places to sleep and snuggle down in within the studio, it's almost as if we'll be creating our own huts within a crystal haven.

** The sleepover is optional, so if you would prefer to be in your own bed / home / shower, you are welcome to leave at the close of day one and return at a time discussed on the day.

Please note:
Our studio does not have shower facilities, so bring supplies for a gentle top and tail refresh during our time together.

Prior to the retreat, you will receive a beautiful cleansing ritual to use in your own bath or shower at home, helping you arrive feeling clear, grounded, and ready to be held in ceremony.

This retreat is a space to pause, to be wrapped, and to be deeply held in the presence of other women walking their own journeys of healing and remembering. I will be arriving into this circle having just returned from a deeply immersive experience in the lineage of Mary Magdalene, where the sacred practice of wrapping and holding was lived and embodied. Her energy, of devotion, compassion, strength, and feminine wisdom, will be very present with us as we gather.

In the warmth of winter and the safety of ceremony, you will be wrapped, supported, and gently restored.

It will be a true honour to hold this space with you.
